Baclofen

The mechanism of action of Generic Baclofen is similar to gamma-aminobutyric acid. It works to suppress nerves' activity and relieve muscle pain. It is usually prescribed to treat muscle stiffness, spasms, clonus, rigidity and spasticity, e.g. cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury and sclerosis.

An additional use of Generic Baclofen is treatment of alcohol dependency on early stages. Consult a medical specialist before taking the medication for any purpose.

Follow the instructions of your medical specialist when taking Generic Baclofen. The dosage may change in the course of treatment to match your progress.

Always notify medical specialists about taking this medication if you are going to have a surgical procedure or a test. The course should not be ended without prior consult with a medical specialist as it might lead to deterioration of your condition.

DO not use the medication if you are allergic to it. If you experience any symptoms associated with allergies such as difficulty breathing, hives, swollen tongue etc., stop using the medication and seek urgent medical help.

Contact your medical specialist immediately if you experience any of the following: unsteady heartbeat, hallucinating, seizures, disorientation.

Common side effects of using Generic Baclofen include: headache, sleeping problems, fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, severe body weakness, digestion problems, increased urination, nausea.

Note that this list does not include all possible side effects. Other side effects might occur depending on individual health conditions. Consult your doctor before starting the course of Generic Baclofen.

DO NOT take the medication if there is a risk of an allergic reaction to any of its ingredients. As Generic Baclofen is a muscle relaxer, avoid taking it before activities that require full muscle ability.

Since Generic Baclofen may slow down your reactions, avoid taking it before driving, working with heavy machinery and other activities that require full concentration.

Notify your medical specialist if you have a history of any of the following: kidney or liver disease, epilepsy, stroke, blood clots, seizures.

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Generic Baclofen as it may increase the probability of side effects. Women (especially breastfeeding and pregnant women or those planning to) should consult medical specialists before taking Generic Baclofen concerning the risks of developing ovarian cysts.

Avoid combining Generic Baclofen with alcohol. Notify your doctor of all prescription and non-prescription medications you are taking, including vitamins and herbal supplements, as they may interact with Baclofen.

Take a missed dose as soon as you remember. If you are taking two doses a day and you missed one of them, take it as soon as you remember and the other one within five or six hours after. If you take more than two doses a day, take the second dose within two to four hours after you've taken the missed one.

Store Generic Baclofen at a cool temperature, away from moisture and heat and out of reach of children and pets. Do not use the medication after expiration of its term of use.
